A corporate executive in the technology sector, William Holmgren is also a trained fine artist, author, and filmmaker. Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, William grew up in Kirkland, Washington, and is an alum of Seattle Pacific University.
His passion for movies and the art of storytelling runs deep. As a kid, he would write and direct film shorts shot on VHS with his neighborhood friends. During college, he would audition for bit parts on several feature film projects in Seattle just to watch the magic behind the scenes.
A pause in his tech career led him to pursue his dream as a writer with several award-winning scripts.
William now resides in the Columbia Valley wine region of Southeast Washington State along with his family and dog Indigo.
Both Brian and William are avid art collectors and fans of the Mid-century modern design movement. It was in fact the random sale of an antique oil painting from William to Brian that led to a friendship and ultimately a partnership in the foundation of Rocket Hound Films in 2021.
